Coretronic implements a multipronged carbon reduction strategy: promoting energy conservation and renewable energy, conducting green building evaluation, working toward water conservation and wastewater reduction, and saving resources via green manufacturing and recycling. A Management Manual for RBA Code of Conduct is adopted for the implementation of responsible supply chain management and auditing and the creation of an alliance of circular suppliers. As such, a clearly defined path for carbon reduction has been charted. Multiple strategic goals for environmental sustainability by 2030 are supplemented by the ultimate attainment of net zero by 2050.

Honor Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
The HSPB won a Rookie Award for its first CSR report in 2011 when the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy handed out its Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards. This CSR publication has been renewed biennially since. In 2022, the HSPB went on to publish its first voluntary departmental review of SDGs that lays out the roadmap for its bid for sustainability in
fulfill their CSR and aim for sustainability by balancing economic development, environmental protection, and social engagement. High on the agenda were ways for companies to strive for sustainability and an update of GRI Universal Standards. In 2022, a total of 61 HSP companies published their CSR reports

GHG Reduction
Building and Consolidation of Carbon Reduction Capabilities
In 2022, the HSPB assisted one tenant company and the Yilan Park in conducting GHG audits, one tenant company in applying for GHG offsets, and one tenant company in adopting science-based targets (SBTs). Meanwhile, a presentation on GHG management and two Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) sessions were held to help tenant companies bolster their capacity for coping with climate change and conducting carbon management.

In 2022, the HSPB also provided 14 tenant companies with guidance on GHG reduction and energy conservation. Emphasis was placed on promoting energy use efficiency as well as energy creation and storage and using low-carbon energy. Combined, their GHG mitigation potential amounted to 8,398 tons of CO2e.
