3 Outside the Workplace Sporting and Recreational Facilities
To help the employees of tenant companies enjoy recreation in their leisure time, the HSP has established such outdoor facilities as basketball courts, tennis courts, swimming pools, and a golf driving range. Separately, there is an activity center that comprises an indoor general-purpose gymnasium, an auditorium (for meetings and exhibitions), and a convenience store. During holidays, the center occasionally becomes the venue for art and cultural events, parent-child activities, a market for small farmers, or an auction.
Dietary Delights
To provide HSP employees with a full range of dietary options, there are both Chinese and Western restaurants (such as Tobukatsu for Japanese deep-fried pork cutlets, Science Park Restaurant, Toscanini Italian Restaurant, and Hu Pan Art Park) as well as VegetableFruit.Love that caters to vegetarians. With its name echoing “utterly delicious” in the Hakka dialect, An Hz Burgers found its way into the Hsinchu Biomedical Science Park in 2019.
Chunghwa Post iBox
After introducing the Chunghwa Post iBox service into the Yilan Park in September 2019, the HSPB is in talks with Chunghwa Post to do the same for the Jhunan and Tongluo parks as well as the Hsinchu Biomedical Science Park so that HSP employees can send and receive packages all year round.

To express gratitude and respect to HSP employees for their hard work and contribution, the HSPB selected 80 outstanding individuals from throughout the HSP in 2019 and gave them commendations during an evening celebration on Labor Day (May 1).
To help HSP employees spend more quality time with their children, the HSPB invited Apple Theater to present “The Pretty and the Filthy” on the evening of July 10. Incorporating environmental protection concepts seamlessly, the performance was met with a hearty response to its success in delivering education through entertainment.
To promote wholesome recreation and foster interpersonal exchanges across the HSP, the HSPB is also proactive to organize sporting competitions. In 2019, six (volleyball, softball, badminton, basketball, tennis, and table tennis) such competitions attracted more than 10,000 participants.
