Seven companies—Liverage Biomedical Inc., ApexBio Taiwan, Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc., North-vision Tech. Inc., Andros Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., General Biologicals Corp., and Caduceus Biotechnology Inc.—teamed up to demonstrate the solid R&D capacity of the HSP’s biomedical cluster, thereby enhancing their own international visibility and reaffirming Taiwan’s commitment to pushing the local biotechnology industry’s annual revenue beyond the US$35 billion mark over time.
4. 2019 Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan
2019 Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan was held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center December 5-8. To highlight the HSP’s leading edge in biomedical R&D, the HSPB organized a joint exhibition by seven innovative medical equipment companies: Liverage Biomedical Inc., PuriBlood Medical Co., Ltd., Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc., Energy Resources International Co., Ltd., IMEDIPLUS Inc., Caduceus Biotechnology Inc., and Brain Navi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. It was meant not only as a business-matching platform but also a springboard for their leaping onto the world stage with the aid of innovative technology.
The HSP Celebrating Its 39th Anniversary
In the celebration of the HSP’s 39th anniversary of inception, the highlight was to extend appreciation to tenant companies for their hard work and
contribution that has made the HSP a force to reckon with both at home and abroad. The celebration was honored with the presence of a good number of VIPs: Minister of Science and Technology Chen Liang-gee, Association of Industries in Science Parks Chairman David Shen and Vice Chairman C.K. Lee, Legislator Lin Wei- chou, Hsinchu Mayor Lin Chih-chien, and Hsinchu County’s Economic Development Department Director Chiang Li-hsien. The occasion also saw live performances by employees of tenant companies, including those from United Microelectronics Corp. on drums and ukuleles and those from Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. on the Veep- harp. Meanwhile, the HSPB presented tenant companies that had fared extraordinarily in 2019 with its Innovative Product Awards, Research and Development Achievement Awards, and Smart Innovative Applications Awards. In her keynote speech “Pili’s Puppet Show—Cultural Heritage and Innovative Development,” Pili International Multimedia Co., Ltd. SVP Jill Huang shared her company’s experience in finding ways to keep up with the times while preserving the legacy of a traditional folk art.
