Continue to Promote Green Transportation
Persist With Shuttle/Electric Bus Services
The HSP offers shuttle bus services on five routes—red, green, purple, orange, and green energy—that cover the Hsinchu Park, Guangfu Road,
the Jhunan Park, and the Hsinchu Biomedical Science
Park (Chupei). Giving HSP employees an alternative
to driving their own cars surely contributes to traffic improvement. To offer truly convenient public transport,
there are a total of 125 bus stops along the aforesaid
five routes that run across HSP premises (coverage of
over 90%). As is only fitting for the HSP’s commitment
to environmental integrity, the green energy line
features a combination of electric and gasoline/diesel- 2 fueled buses. Statistics show that the HSP’s shuttle
bus services helped reduce CO2 emissions by 101.2 tons in 2022, marking a further testament to the HSP’s bid for a low-carbon, environment-friendly park.

The Hsinchu Park’s Upgrade to YouBike 2.0
Moreover, the number of YouBike stations will be increased to at least 39 by the end of June 2023. A well-rounded YouBike network certainly attests to the HSP’s commitment to making a green park.

Offer Childcare to Ensure
Employment Stability
Childcare by the HSPB
To show support for HSP companies and employees and give working parents peace of mind, the HSPB has established Duxing Nonprofit Kindergarten. Upon its inauguration on August 15, 2022, a total of 268 young children were enrolled.
Childcare by Tenant Companies
Likewise, tenant companies are encouraged to do their share in promoting employment equality. To date four of them have established six kindergartens with the enrollment of nearly 500 young children.
In Taiwan, the Hsinchu Park is the first science park to have ushered in YouBike; 15 stations were set up for this bike sharing service in 2017. Statistics show that the service is used most often from Jinshan Street and Xinzhuang Railway Station to the Hsinchu Park. YouBike has obviously become another alternative for HSP commuters. In 2022, the HSPB and YouBike Co., Ltd. signed contracts that provide for an upgrade to YouBike 2.0 alongside Hsinchu County and Hsinchu City as well as the launch of e-bikes to better accommodate the Hsinchu Park’s hilly topography.
