Renovation of Phase III, IV, and V Standard Plant Buildings in the Hsinchu Park
Construction on the new Phase III Standard Plant Building, a steel structure of three underground levels and eight above, was launched in November 2022. Due to be completed in August 2025, this NT$4.5 billion project will provide 41 standard plant units (two units measuring 924-990 square meters each, 35 units measuring 594-660 square meters, and four units measuring 379.5-594 square meters). Also on the agenda is renovation of Phase IV and V standard plant buildings. All this revitalization and renovation promises to increase land use efficiency, offer more operating space for tenant companies, and enhance the HSP’s competitiveness and productivity.
Renovation and Improvement of Standard Plant Buildings and Public Facilities
To enhance operating quality and offer a more comfortable workplace, a project on improving roof waterproofing at Phase IV Building D and freight elevators at Phase IX Building E kicked off in September 2022. The project was completed in the first quarter of 2023.
A project on updating the firefighting equipment at 20 standard plant units of Phase IV Building B and Building C kicked off in October 2022. Completed in December of the same year, the project repaired or replaced extinguishers, emergency lights, broadcasting panels, and smoke detectors to help ensure plant safety.
To offer a more comfortable workplace, a project on improving elevators of high-rise plant units kicked off on October 9, 2021 and was completed in the third quarter of 2022.
Separately, a project on converting the Joint Service Building’s underground floor to a parking lot, improving the nearby parking area for motorbikes, and renovating the building’s air-conditioning system kicked off in April 2022 and was completed in the fourth quarter of the same year.
