10/5 President Tsai Ing-wen visited the HBSP to learn more about its current status.
10/15 Construction started on Mirle Automation Corp.’s new plant in the Tongluo Park.
10/18 Construction was completed on the phase 2 plant of Taimide Technology Inc.’s Tongluo Branch.
10/23-27 HSPB Deputy Director-General Chen Shu-chu led a delegation comprising representatives of six medical equipment companies to Japan for business discussions that subsequently led to the signing of three MOUs.
10/28 Minister of Science and Technology Chen Liang-gee hosted the groundbreaking ceremony for the phase 2 standard plant building in the Yilan Park and visited the Young Entrepreneur’s Studio there.

11/1 As Taiwan’s first government agency to implement across-the-board electronic reporting, the HSPB won an award of excellence from the Ministry of Economic Affairs in its 2019 Factory Adjustment and Operation Survey.
11/11-13 With “Prospects and Challenges of Science Parks in Digital Era” as the theme, the HSPB hosted ASPA Conference 2019 in Hsinchu, an event that drew 278 attendees from 16 countries.
11/15 HSPB Director-General Wayne Wang was named by the Chinese Society for Management of Technology as one of its 20th fellows.
11/17-28 Lin Hui-hung, director of the HSPB’s Investment Division, led a delegation comprising representatives of eight medical equipment companies to Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands for business promotion that subsequently led to the signing of two MOUs.
11/25&27 The HSPB organized get-togethers for National Taiwan University Hospital’s HBSP Branch and HSP companies to facilitate cross-sector sharing of resources.
11/26 The Legislative Yuan, in a third and final reading, ratified an amendment to the Organization Act of the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau, Ministry of Science and Technology, thereby removing “industrial” from the name of the HSPB.
11/28 The HSPB won a platinum award, the highest honor for the 12th Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards, in the government and NGO sector from the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy.
11/30 The Camphor Distribution Substation in the Tongluo Park went online. Dec.
12/5-8 With the HSPB at the helm, seven tenant companies attended 2019 Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
12/11 Upon presidential promulgation, the newly amended Organization Act of the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau, Ministry of Science and Technology went into effect, thereby removing “industrial” from the name of the HSPB.
12/11 The HSPB organized the Program for Entrepreneurial Environment Innovation in the HSP’s Medical Equipment Industry: Results Exhibition and Business Exchanges and signed an MOU with the Taiwan Rapid Innovation Prototyping League for Entrepreneurs (TRIPLE).
12/13 With “HSP 39, HSP Companies Will Always Shine” as the theme, the HSP held a celebration of its 39th anniversary of inception.
12/16 President Tsai Ing-wen cut the ribbon on National Taiwan University Hospital’s HBSP Branch.
12/19 The Hsinchu County government announced implementation of the Detailed Plan for the Baoshan
Phase 1 Expansion Project.
12/20 At the invitation of the HSPB, Academia Sinica academician Wong Chi-huey gave a speech titled “Status of the Biomedical Industry and Progress in Glycomedicine.”
