6/5 A beam-raising ceremony was held for Kinik Co.’s new plant in the Jhunan Park.
6/6 The HSPB played host in the Yilan Park to a delegation comprising Straits Exchange Foundation
officials and businesspeople operating in mainland China.
6/19 The HSPB organized a government-business conference titled “Beyond Seeking Unlawful Gains— Add Convenience, Increase Efficiency.”
6/26-28 HSPB Director-General Wayne Wang traveled to Bhutan for the ASPA Leaders Meeting.
6/27 A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.’s new building in the HSP.

7/10 The HSPB and the Yilan County government jointly hosted a business solicitation conference titled “A New Haven for Movie & TV Post-Production” for the Yilan Park.
7/10 The Environmental Protection Administration approved the Environmental Impact Statement for the HSP (Baoshan Land) Expansion Project.
7/15 The HSPB conducted its first examination of permanent files dating back to more than 25 years, of which the National Archives Administration, National Development Council found it necessary to take over 802 files in seven cases for storage.
7/23-30 Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hsu Yu-chin, accompanied by HSPB Director-General Wayne Wang and representatives of Chang’s Ascending Enterprise Co., Ltd., Fukuta Electric & Machinery Co., Ltd., and H.P.B. Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., traveled to India for a bilateral deputy ministerial technology conference.
7/25 President Tsai Ing-wen visited the Ministry of Science and Technology’s pavilion jointly set up by the HSP, the Central Taiwan Science Park, the Southern Taiwan Science Park, the Taiwan Instrument Research Institute of the National Applied Research Laboratories, and the National Core Facility for Biopharmaceuticals at BIO Asia 2019.
7/28-8/2 Lin Hui-hung, director of the HSPB’s Investment Division, led a delegation comprising representatives of 11 medical equipment startups to Japan to promote international cooperation.

8/5 In his capacity as ASPA president, HSPB Director-General Wayne Wang signed MOUs with Korea’s Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province.
8/7 Legislator Chiang Nai-shin visited the HSP, where he was hosted by Minister of Science and Technology Chen Liang-gee and HSPB Director-General Wayne Wang, to learn more about its current status.
8/27 The Hsinchu County government made public the Documents and Drawings of Urban Planning Modifications for the Baoshan Expansion Project, which would be implemented on August 29.

9/3 The HSPB and the National Applied Research Laboratories jointly hosted a presentation on the Ministry of Science and Technology’s LEAP (Learn, Explore, Aspire, Pioneer) Program.
9/6 The HSPB organized a forum titled “Opportunities and Challenges for the Semiconductor Industry Amid the U.S.-China Trade War and in the 5G Era.”
9/8-12 An HSPB delegation comprising representatives of nine medical equipment companies traveled to Thailand for business discussions that subsequently resulted in three cooperative projects.
9/20 The HSPB and the Hsinchu City Fire Bureau jointly undertook a 2019 National Disaster Prevention Day drill.
