1/1 The firefighting operations of HSP premises under Hsinchu City jurisdiction were handed over to the city government.
1/4 The Ministry of Education agreed in principle to National Experimental High School’s adding classes to its affiliated preschool and elementary school, with one class naturally added to each beginning in the 2019 academic year.
1/4-10 HSPB Director-General Wayne Wang traveled to the U.S. for CES 2019 and business solicitation.
1/17 The Young Entrepreneur’s Studio in the Yilan Park became operational.
1/21-26 Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hsu Yu-chin led the director-generals of Taiwan’s three science park bureaus to Tokyo and Osaka for business solicitation.
1/23 Construction was completed on EirGenix, Inc.’s new plant in the HBSP. Feb.
2/14 Construction started on Nikkei Instrument Manufacturing Co., Ltd.’s new plant in the Yilan Park. 2/23 The Regulations for Distribution Sales and Transfer Sales of Community Land in Science Parks
went into effect.
2/27 The Regulations for Calculating and Collecting Land Rentals in Science Parks went into effect.

3/15 Minister Without Portfolio Wu Tsung-tsong visited the HBSP and National Taiwan University Hospital’s HBSP Branch.
3/24-29 HSPB Deputy Director-General Andrea T. J. Hsu traveled to Thailand and called at the TSP, SPT, and EECi for discussions about future cooperation.
3/26 A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Taiwan Biomaterial Co., Ltd.’s new plant in the HBSP.

4/3 Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Shieh Dar-bin visited ACE Biotek Co., Ltd. and Coretronic Corp. to learn more about cross-sector development in biomedical electronics
4/19 The HSPB hosted a forum titled “Asian Edge: New Opportunities for Asia’s Technology Industry in the U.S.-China Face-Off.”
4/24 The HSPB teamed up with the Yilan County government to host a business solicitation conference titled “Good for Living, Good for Working” for the Yilan Park. It was jointly chaired by Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hsu Yu-chin, HSPB Director-General Wayne Wang, and Yilan County Deputy Magistrate Lin Chien-jung.
4/26 The HSPB hosted a forum titled “Trends in the Smart Optoelectronics Industry of the 5G Era.” May.
5/12-19 HSPB Deputy Director-General Andrea T. J. Hsu led a delegation comprising representatives of eight medical equipment companies to India, where they organized two medical care forums, held business discussions with 69 Indian companies, and set up the Hsinchu Science Park Biotech Hub at Taiwan Expo 2019 in India.
5/17 The HSPB organized a teacher-training workshop for its Program for Entrepreneurial Environment Innovation in the HSP’s Medical Equipment Industry.
5/23 HSPB Deputy Director-General Andrea T. J. Hsu hosted the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada’s president and vice president.
5/28 A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Tri Chemical Electronic Materials Taiwan Inc.’s new plant in the Tongluo Park.
