 1R&D Subsidies to Foster Innovation/Transformation
Emerging Technology Application Program for Science Parks
In 2021, the HSPB consolidated resources at its disposal to update the Emerging Technology Application Program for Science Parks and encourage tenant companies from different sectors to work
together in technological development. Industry- academia collaboration is fostered in the form of problem-setting by the former and problem-solving, the latter.
Out of 42 applications accepted in 2022, approval was given to 14 R&D proposals for a combined NT$60 million in grants under the program. The aim is to draw on government resources for helping tenant companies accelerate applications of such emerging technologies as AI ad smart medical devices.
