The Longtan Park now hosts tenant companies mainly from the integrated circuits, optoelectronics, and biotechnology sectors. As land demand of the local technology industry continues to increase, it will build on existing strengths to become a base for R&D of next-generation chipmaking processes and pilot production thereof. In addition to further strengthening Taiwan’s semiconductor supply chain and facilitating better-rounded division of labor, it also promises to help promote industrial transformation in Taoyuan, boost the local economy, create jobs, and foster an inflow of technology talent.

Given Yilan's wealth of cultural and geographic features, the Yilan Park is now home to tenant companies mainly from the precision machinery, biotechnology, and telecommunications knowledge services sectors. To meet growing land demand, its Phase II standard plant building was made available in May 2022. Over time it promises to help boost the local economy and give a boost to industry upgrade across Yilan and eastern Taiwan.
